Church Father. He was born in Caesarea and was appointed its bishop in c. 313. His Praeparatio evangelica demonstrates the superiority of Judaism over pagan Hellenism. In Demonstratio evangelica he criticizes Jews for distorting Scripture and neglecting the New Testament.
