American composer, organist, pianist, and educator. He was born in Brest-Litovsk, Belorussia, and went to the US as a child. He taught at music schools in Philadelphia and New York, and at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut. He also served as an organist and choir director in several temples.
