Robert and Gerald Finaly were the subjects of a legal struggle in France from 1950 to 1953. Their parents died in a Nazi concentration camp, and they were baptized in 1948. Despite the decision of a French court to award custody of the boys to their nearest relative, they disappeared in 1953 and were later traced to Spain.
