American cantor and composer. He was born in Kiev and held cantorial positions at Kishinev and in Romania before emigrating to the US in 1926. He served as cantor of the Ohev Shalom Synagogue in Brooklyn and of Heikhal Sinai Synagogue and the Shaarei Tefillah Synagogue in Los Angeles.
