Gollancz, Sir Hermann (1852–1930)

British rabbi and teacher, brother of Israel Gollancz. He was born in Bremen and settled in London. He officiated at the Bayswater Synagogue (1892–1923) and taught Hebrew at University College, London (1902–24). He published critical editions and translations of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Syriac texts.
