Italian Hebrew philologist, grammarian, and lexicographer. He was born in Neustadt but spent most of his life in Italy, where he taught Hebrew. Numerous Christian humanists, such as Cardinal Egidio da Viterbo, were his students. He also served as a proof-reader for the Protestant Hebraist Paul Fagius in Isny. He wrote studies of Hebrew grammar, lexicographical works, and a Yiddish-Hebrew dictionary.
