Lilien, Ephraim Moses (1874–1925)

German artist. He was born in Drohobycz, Galicia. He first worked in Munich as a cartoonist, later in Berlin as a book illustrator. An active Zionist, he was a founder and editor of the Berlin publishing house Jüdischer Verlag. In 1902 he published Juda , a volume of ballads on Old Testament themes with his illustrations. He was a member of the committee formed to establish the Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts in Jerusalem.
