Spanish religious leader and writer. He escaped from the Spanish Inquisition to the Netherlands, where he founded a Talmud Torah in Amsterdam. He also established the Hesed Abraham yeshivah at Hebron. A member of the Sabbetaian movement, he wrote La certeza del camino to encourage Marranos to repent in preparation for the Messianic age.
