Revel, Bernard (1885–1940)

American educator and scholar. He was born in Kovno, Lithuania, and settled in the US in 1906. Initially he ran an oil-refining business in Oklahoma. In 1915, as rosh yeshivah, he reorganized the Isaac Elhanan Yeshiva, and in the following year founded the Talmudical Academy in New York. In 1928 he founded Yeshiva College which he directed as president.
