Palestinian poet and resistance fighter. She was born in Budapest, and moved to Palestine in 1939. She joined Kibbutz Sedot Yam, and began to write poetry. In 1942 she became one of a group of parachutists organized by the Haganah to rescue prisoners of war and organize Jewish resistance in Europe; she was dropped in Yugoslavia, and crossed the border into Hungary, where she was arrested and executed by the Nazis. ... log in or subscribe to read full text
