(“And a redeemer shall come unto Zion”) Opening words of a prayer used in various services. It is one of the concluding prayers in the morning service; on Sabbaths and festivals it is recited in the afternoon service; on the Day of Atonement it occurs in the concluding service; and, except for the first section, it is incorporated in the Saturday evening service.
