Leader of Orthodox Jewry, of Hungarian origin, son of Solomon Breuer. He lived in Frankfurt am Main, where he was active in Jewish organizations. When Agudat Israel was founded in 1912 he became one of its ideologists. He settled in Jerusalem in 1936 and he served as president of Poale Agudat Israel.
