Dushkin, Alexander (1890–1976)

American educator. He was born in Poland and was taken to the US in 1901. He was director of Chicago's Board of Jewish Education (1923–34) and executive director of the Jewish Education Committee in New York (1939–49). From 1962 he headed the Department of Jewish Education in the Diaspora at the Hebrew University Institute of Contemporary Jewry.
