Robert E. Bjork is Professor of English and Director of the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Arizona State University. His book publications include (with Daniel G. Calder, Patrick K. Ford and Daniel F. Melia) Sources and Analogues of Old English Poetry II: The Major Germanic and Celtic Texts in Translation, The Old English Verse Saints’ Lives: A Study in Direct Discourse and the Iconography of Style, Cynewulf: Basic Readings and (with John D. Niles) A Beowulf Handbook. He is currently working on the Scandinavion involvement in Anglo-Saxon studies and is General Editor of the forthcoming Oxford Dictionary of the Middle Ages. Rolf Bremmer is Senior Lecturer in Old and Middle English at the University of Leiden. He is the author of A Bibliographical Guide to Old Frisian Studies and has (co-)edited A conpanion to Old English Poetry, Approaches to Old Frisian Philology, Franciscus Junius F. F. and his Circle and Rome and the North: The Reception of Gregory the Great in Medieval North-Western Europe. He is currently completing An Introduction to Old Frisian. Michelle P. Brown is Curator of Illuminated Manuscripts at the British Library. She is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, a Fellow of the Courtauld Institute, and a visiting Research Fellow of the School of Advanced Studies of the University of London.
