A multinational business may occasionally have a need to send workers to one of their foreign operations for short periods of time. For example, equipment failures or other accidents may require short‐term assistance from outside of a country. Since work is being performed by a foreign citizen it is necessary in many countries to secure a temporary permit to conduct such work.
