In line with economic integration efforts, the european union (EU) has established a procedure for forming “European companies.” A European company is similar to other companies except that it is capitalized in European currency units and must comply with the rules set forth by the EU. Until legal integration occurs, European companies must comply with many of the laws of the specific country in which the company is registered.
