Irving Biederman is the Harold W. Dornsife Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Southern California where he is a member of the Departments of Psychology, Computer Science, and the Neuroscience Program and Director of the Image Understanding Laboratory. Luigi Burigana is Professor of Psychometrics at the University of Padua (Department of General Psychology). His main scientific interests and contributions are in discrete mathematical modeling, combinatorial data analysis, and research on spatial vision. Luisa Canal is Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Trento (Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences). Her research interests are focused on statistical models of social and perceptual phenomena. Gideon P. Caplovitz is Assistant Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Nevada at Reno. Osvaldo Da Pos is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Padua (Department of General Psychology). His present research deals with psychological aspects of color perception, like color constancy, color contrast and assimilation, color transparency, color harmony, color and illumination, color and emotion. Agnès Desolneux is Researcher for the French National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) in the Applied Mathematics Department of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan.
