Bob Adamson is International Director in the TESOL Unit at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. He has published in the fields of curriculum studies, teacher education, higher education and comparative education, with particular interest in English Language education and China. b.adamson@qut.du.au Gary Barkhuizen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Language Studies and Linguistics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has taught ESL and has been involved in language teacher education in South Africa, the USA, and New Zealand.
