Jon Adams is Associate Professor and Head of the Discipline of Social Science, School of Population Health, University of Queensland. Amongst other positions, he is also Director of the Network of Researchers in the Public Health of Complementary and Alternative Medicine ( www.norphcam.org ), Director of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Sub-study, and Associate Editor of two journals ( Complementary Therapies in Medicine and the Journal of Acupuncture and Meridian Studies) . Jon has authored/co-authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications to date and he is Editor/Co-editor of a number of international research books including: Researching Complementary and Alternative Medicine (2007); Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Nursing and Midwifery: Towards a Critical Social Science (with Tovey, 2008); and Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine: An International Reader (with Andrews et al., forthcoming). Gavin J. Andrews is Professor and Chair of the Department of Health, Aging, and Society, McMaster University, Ontario, Canada.
