Barron Boyd, Le Moyne College The International Education section (IEDU) is different from many of the International Studies Association's other sections. While some sections – like Post-Communist States – may be regionally or historically focused, the International Education section is global and historically diverse in scope. IEDU does not focus on one particular segment of the international studies community – peace studies, or international ethics, or international law – but embraces the full range of contemporary scholarship. Nor does it presuppose a particular ideological or methodological approach to the accumulation of knowledge, like the English School or Foreign Policy Analysis sections. IEDU is an umbrella section which welcomes all approaches to the teaching and learning of international studies (IS) as a subject matter. It seeks to improve our understanding of and appreciation for different teaching and learning strategies, especially at the undergraduate level, and offers support for administrators who design programs in international studies.
